Step 1 ( Set up Pages)

Design a School News website by using Wix.com

  • Set up pages: 

  • Home  ( Cover pager. Set up the 7 topics head news photo and the summary description)

  • About ( What is the purpose of the website?)

  • Raw Material ( Teams share and post the collected subject information, photos and video )

  • Responsibility and Timeline

  • Document - invitation email and follow up email

Step 2 - Team work

Team 3-4 people

       the classroom, works, projects, books and...)​

  • Do not post video (write note of the question and answer of the interview and post)

Step 3- Interview teacher for subject course information​

  • Interview teacher 

  • Interview students 

  • Take 10 or more photos for the subject 

  • Audio or Take note to record the interview (Ask permission for recording)

Interview for teachers:

  1. What is the subject about?

  2. What is the teacher's teaching style?

  3. Are any special equipment or skills required?

  4. How many students are in a class?

  • Collect the subject information : Photos and Video or audio or note.

  • Post it on your Raw material page

Step 4 - Create Individual Time Line

  • Set up an Individual timeline

  • Time line is flexible and need to be update anytime you change 

  • Time frame is fix - ( Final due date : January 12 2026 Monday )

Step 4 - Individual work

  • Research and study the Subject Topics

      example, Look for some relevant website​

  • Each subject has a top Art - the art related with the subject

  • Write articles (No Copy)

  • Take the raw material as your reference write your own 4 articles or more for each Subject Topic ( The more you work, the more you gain)

  • ( if you have more reference or photo, use it in your own website)​​

  • Articles content example:

  • What is the subject topic about? 

  • Who is the teacher?

  • What they are doing? - Project

  • How did they do it? ( example: material? equipment? Costumes?)

  • What the student learn?

  • What interests you?

  • Comment

  • Post the photo and articles on the subject topic page

  • About 2 weeks for each subject - follow the task in you Individual timeline.

Step 5 Feedback - Ask someone to review your website

​

Get feedback and update your website before handing in

​

Website Review Project tips

You learn how to judge, you learn how to improve.

​Tips and Example:

  • Overt simplicity

  • Wrong images or miss place the image (keep the balance of the layout)

  • Too busy and side track or Miss use of colour. 

  • Fort size too big will overwhelming the whole layout

  • or too small, cannot read​

  • Navigation cannot found or wrong placement

  • Information is not clear and outdated - example: No header, lack of organize, cannot guide reader

      to read the message/ information

Step 6 Presentation and Evaluation

You are going to evaluation your classmate work on each subject page

​

  • Evaluation your classmate Subject page with the rubric as your reference

  • Use highlighter to highlight the comment on the rubric paper

  • Write comment and suggestion on the rubric paper

  • Create a powerpoint

  • Make comment and feedback 

  • Explain and provide suggestion

  • Present in class
