What adobe animate can do?

Animation Movie

​

You are a producer of a film company. You will make a Canadian History background story animation movie for the Education department. It is a 10-15 minute animation movie.

 

Theme:

Project Instruction

​

• Write a historical background story about Canada

• Using the template to draw a storyboard

​

Option: You can pick your year.

Pick one of the years as a background to develop the story:

• Year: 1868

• Year: 1871 - 1875

• Year: 1876

• Year: 1884 - 1885    ​

​

Each of the members will be responsible for one part of the drawing.

• Use the Storyboard template to draw a storyboard of your story.

• Provide details of the Shot, Action and time. 

• PhotoShop or hand drawing is good

• Colour

• Neat

• Clear

• Screen recording FWS by QuickTime

• Export to iMovie

• Add sound and subtitle

How to add a Scene?

Select insert - Select Scene

Example of how to organize the project: 

Day 1-2

• Group with 2 (each person responsible for 3 scenes)

• Planning Role and Responsibility ( Post on Final Production page)

• Cooperate to create a story. Write the story.

• Post it on the Final Production page. Label your name )

   

Day 3-10

• Choose the story

• Set the timeline

• Plan the project into different stages (3 to 4 stages)

      What can you finish in stage 1? 

      What can you finish in stage 2?

      ...

      List a Task Checklist and talk with Mrs Leung

• Prepare Website presentation (Pitching project idea)

      Content :

      Story background 

      Character

      Plot (event/ what happen?)

     Each member is responsible for 3 or more scenes.

     Storyboard – 6 boxes or more for one scene. 

     Remember to label which scene it is.

     Post your scenes and storyboard, (label - Individual scene and storyboard)

     Post the whole team scene,( label - Final scene and storyboard presentation on website.)

• Pitching and presentation in class 

• Collect feedback/ Make note

• Organize feedback (take and drop)

• Recording project progress and stages, post on the website

• Plan a timeline and post it online

 

Day 15-25

• Collect feedback

• Organize feedback (take and drop)

• Scope and manage the timeline

• Recording project progress and stages, post on the website

• Plan a timeline and post it online

• Create characters and backgrounds

• Talk with Mrs. Leung

• Start Animation

• Add sound to the animated movie

•  Export Video

• Post on the website ( Final Animation production​ page)
