Example 1

2.5cm X 2.5cm

4B

Material:

  • Sketchbook

  • 2B, 4B Pencil

  • Ruler

  • Eraser

  • Tissue paper

Instruction:

  • On your sketchbook

  • Follow Example 1, Draw 2 sets of boxes, 4B 6B

  • Each section is 2.5cm x 2.5cm

  • Apply Hatching and Blending technique to create the tone from dark to light.

  • Try 3 times. ( Total sets= 3)

Located the Light

Material:

  • Sketchbook

  • 2B, 4B Pencil

  • Eraser

  • Blending Stump

  • Tissue paper

 

Instruction:

  • On your sketch

  • Freehand use 2B/ HB pencil draw 10 circles. 

  • Circle diameter: around 8cm

  • Using 4 B pencil

  • Draw 3 circles and fill the shading, 

  • No dark outline

  • Label where is the light

3. Life Drawing Exercise

Material:

  • Sketchbook

  • 2B, 4B Pencil

  • Eraser

  • Blending Stump

  • Tissue paper

Instruction:

  • Observation

  • Draw what you see

  • Bring an apple

  • Attention to the texture and colour of the apple

  • Light source and direction

  • Add tone by Layer * Patient

  • Apply Hatching technique

  • Draw an apple on your sketchbook.

  • 1:1

  • Drawing paper

  • 2B, 4B, 6B Pencil

  • Eraser

  • Blending Stump

  • Tissue paper

Instruction:

  • Observe

  • Use 2B/ HB lightly set the flower location (height and size)

  • Draw the flower outline ( No dark outline)

  • Shade ( Blend )

  • No photo, Life

  • 2 weeks
